Atrauman Ag is anon adherent tulle dressing containing silver with antibacterial properties for atraumatic wound treatment.
Atrauman Ag is suitable for the treatment of acute and chronic wounds of all kinds and also for use in combination with the Bibano negative pressure wound therapy system.
Atrauman Ag is particularly suitable for complementary use in the treatment of infected wounds or wounds that show a high bacterial contamination and is also indicated as an additional infection prophylaxis in wound treatment.

Properties
The soft, thin support fabric drapes easily and ensures close contact with the wound base. The fabric's surface and the impregnation counteract adhesion to the wound; as a result the dressing can be removed painlessly. Bacteria on the dressing surface are destroyed by the silver ions created in the moist environment. Atrauman Ag works against Gram-negative (e.g. Klebsiella pneumoniae) as well as Gram-positive bacteria (e.g. Staphylococcus aureus including the MRSA strains). The impregnation protects the wound edges helping to prevent maceration. It is non-medicated, contains no paraffin and leaves no residues. Because of this, when the dressing is changed, there is no residue (such as e.g. Vaseline) left in the wound or on the wound edges.Atrauman Ag
